Laughing into the Harbor
Updated: Mar 19, 2019
John Crist just started his new tour, Human Being 2.0. A friend of mine suggested we go see him, so we got a small group together and drove to York, PA to laugh for the night! But, we didn't just "go." Since Sam is engaged, we used the above video to inspire some custom shirts to wear down, too.
Needless to say, the show was great. I think one of my favorite lines was,
"I know God said not to judge, but I don't know if he anticipated the kind of people we'd have in 2019."
I mean, he has a point
The coolest part? After the show, we waited around for the "Dry Shirt Contest" and got to meet John Crist.

What do our shirts say?
Halle: #whatstheweddinghashtag
Me: Oh my gosh, Frothy Monkey!
Erin: I believe in Nashville
Sam: I think I should quit my job. Planning a wedding and working is just too much.
The trip goes on!
After we met John Crist, we drove into Baltimore Inner Harbor for the night. There was much more to do there than in York, PA! We had no plans, just wanted to coast along and enjoy the day off.
Where'd we stay? Springhill Suites by Marriott, a block off the Harbor (the best thing I ever did is become a Marriott Member - we stayed here for free thanks to points)
Where'd we eat? We had coffee courtesy of Filicori Zecchini and lunch at (my favorite) Tir Na Nog, which overlooks the Harbor.
My travel gear? Serengetee backpack. Love that thing!
Any stops? Not too many. Just a couple stores and then we spent some time in the (huge) Barnes & Noble on the Harbor. I got a picture of Halle that I adore in there (see the gallery at the bottom).
I'm glad Erin had the idea to go! It was nice to get away with her and my sisters for the night. I know it's cliche to say, but sometimes it really is just the simple things.
Waking up slow at the hotel, watching snow flurries fall over the Harbor, a simple lunch with a great view, hanging out with good people.
Breaking away from the norm is necessary every once in a while!
We all need to #TravelMore.
